Perineal Surgery / Haemorrhoids (Piles)

Common perianal disorder causes bleeding from anus. It has various stages from grade 1 to grade 4 where 1 presents with bleeding and 4 with complete prolapse in addition to bleeding. All perianal problems are not piles and need evaluations by specialists to diagnose the underlying problems which can be fissures to rectal and large intestine cancer.

Treatment of piles can range from medical management of grade 1 disease to surgery for grade 4 disease. Surgery can be open excision to staple piles and laser piles.
